Injala One

Experience Design for a Unified Ecosystem Platform

Case Study

Introduction

Injala One is Injala's vision for a comprehensive, unified platform designed to revolutionize the risk management ecosystem. Injala One integrates six powerful, individually engineered products into a cohesive ecosystem.

However, it lacked the cohesive experience necessary for a truly unified platform. In 2023, we set out to redesign Injala One to address user needs and deliver a seamless, unified experience for its diverse users.

  • Role

  • Timeline

    Dec 2023 - Mar 2024

Project Outcomes

  • Enhanced user retention by creating a unified platform with Single Sign-On, simplifying access across all six products.

  • Enabled informed decision-making with clear, actionable insights across all products

  • Increased subscriptions across the ecosystem through cross-promotional branding, showcasing all products with engaging calls-to-action.

Overview of the redesigned experience

Problem Statement

Injala One struggled to deliver a cohesive experience for its users, leaving them to navigate fragmented systems and lacking the insights needed to make informed decisions, which required them to do all the work. How might we unify access and provide meaningful insights to empower users with a streamlined and intuitive platform experience.

Problem 1

Lack of Login Standardization and Credential Unification Across Products

Users of Injala One faced fragmented access due to the absence of a standardized login system. Each product required separate login credentials, creating a cumbersome and time-intensive experience.

This lack of integration hindered workflows and undermined the promise of a unified ecosystem.

Problem 2

Inefficient Navigation and Lack of Decision-Making Insights

The Injala One platform provided no actionable data about the products it hosted. Users couldn’t see:

  • Notifications of important updates.
  • An overview of ongoing projects.
  • Metrics to determine which product needed immediate attention.
Projects within individual products are buried under vague tags like "design," making them hard to find.

This absence of key insights left users guessing rather than making informed decisions.

Furthermore, Injala One should be a unified platform that centralizes access to all documents, notifications, dashboards, and communication channels across the entire ecosystem of products under the Injala umbrella.

The Users of Injala One

Injala One serves a diverse range of users with varying roles across the insurance industry. Our user base includes brokers, agents and administrators.

Brokers/Agents

These users need streamlined access to manage and monitor insurance products, projects, and client interactions within the platform.

Administrators

They require centralized control for overseeing user access, managing product integrations, and ensuring smooth platform operations across all teams.

Defining and prioritising solutions

Utilising user jobs across our personas to further define our solution scope.

Moving into our first cross-discipline workshop, we reframed our higher level objectives into a set of more defined user jobs as this made it easier for our engineering team to foresee the possible technical constraints that each possible solutions might bring.

Designing for a Unified Ecosystem Platform

Ensuring Accessibility and Feasibility Through a Unified, Intuitive Experience

With our user's requirements and potential solutions aligned, we were then able to generate hypotheses that will help measure the effectiveness of our outcomes.

Mapping user flows into 5 broader compartments.

To ensure that Injala One delivers a seamless and integrated platform experience, we identified and restructured the key touchpoints where users interact with the ecosystem.

By intentionally involving our lead engineer during the mapping, we were able to quickly refine our product architecture, which means less steps for our users.

Final Outcome

Injala One brings everything together, making it easy to access tools, stay updated, and focus on what matters—all from one simple, connected platform.
